I love the Create a Critter Cricut cartridge! There are so many cute little animals to find. This little fella is also going into a frame in my soon-to-be baby boy’s nursery. I embossed the dark brown and the green papers using a Fiskars texture plate which I ran in my Sizzix Big Kick.
Dino-mite!
The frames in the nursery are finally being filled! I have been meaning to cut out some shapes and the Cricut Create a Critter cartridge is perfect for finding cute little animals. The skin texture on this adorable dinosaur was done by using Tim Holtz Core’dinations cardstock. I love this stuff. Certain selections of this paper…
Glittering Gratitude
This card was made with some sparkling glittery cardstock and finished with Swarovski crystal rhinestones. I have found that one of the best ways to set rhinestones either on fabric, paper, leather, or most other surfaces is to use the “hotfix” rhinestones. These are made with glue already on the back and are set with…
Dark Chocolate Raspberry Truffles
Yesterday I had a craving for chocolate… So I decided to make some truffles using some delicious Guittard! I found a great starter recipe here at epicurious. Instead of using the grand marnier or vodka, I flavored the chocolate with vanilla and raspberry extracts to taste. To garnish, I tempered some white chocolate and drizzled it…
Showering of Gratitude
This week a couple of friends threw me a baby shower for our soon-to-be baby boy. To show my gratitude I thought it would be fun to make a batch of handmade thank you cards. The lettering was cut out using my Cricut and the Beyond Birthdays Cartridge. That is such a versatile cartridge! It…
Cricut Cupcake Box
I wanted to make some cupcakes for a family that we know so I whipped up a batch and then promptly whipped out my “Sweet Tooth Boxes” Cricut Cartridge. This Cricut Projects cartridge is great! It has a number of boxes for cupcakes, cakes, and other treats–it even includes the patterns for a cupcake holder…
Wedding Scrapbook Page
This upcoming Saturday I will be going with a friend to a Creative Memories Croptoberfest. I am really excited. To be honest I have never been to a real “crop,” so I’m not quite sure what to expect… To get myself into the scrapbooking mood I decided to do a quick page with some pictures…
Cricut Paper “To Go” Boxes
I have been having so much fun with my Provo Craft “Cricut” lately! I recently picked up one of their newer cartridges that was released earlier this year: Sweet Tooth Boxes. It is absolutely adorable and has a number of cupcake and cake boxes that I will be sure to make in the future. To…
Put Your Heart On The Line…
This is a card that I made for my husband to tell him that I would “Put my heart on the line” for him (slightly cheesy, I know, but the idea made for a cute card). I actually ended up making this card because I first found the red mini clothespins at Paper Source. They…
