I love this little leather clutch! It was made using the Poopy Clutch Tutorial written by Melissa Esplin on her blog ISLY. I also really like how she has a couple of different versions of the clutch, including a scalloped edge and sewn fabric versions. Melissa actually was the one who first brought me over to FabMo when she was living in the Bay Area and I was still in college. I am so glad she did!
To make this clutch I followed her tutorial but also added an inside lining (with fabric found at FabMo) and some die-cut leather leaves on the outside. To attach the lining I used Pellon 805 Wonder Under (an iron-on fusible web) to attach the fabric to the leather and finished it off by putting Fray Check on the unfinished edges so that they would not fray. I really like how the lining turned out.
Thanks, Melissa, for the great tutorial!
