I am so excited to share my new product line with you! One night, I realized that my little boy loved bringing his little treasures to bed. He would bring little erasers, coins, toy figures, whatever he could get his hands on! My husband would ask him to please put his treasures on his nightstand before going to sleep, but my son would always worry about whether his things would be safe until morning. Then, my idea for Treasure Buddy was born!
I decided to create a cuddly little creature that could keeps my son’s treasures safe for him. I created his first Treasure Buddy out of felt with a hidden zipper pocket for him to put his little things in and he loved it so much he wouldn’t let it out of his sight. He said, “I love it. It’s so big and soft and ‘zippery’.” Seeing his joy over his little new friend inspired me to share my creation with others here in my new Etsy Shop Treasure Buddy.
I will also be adding a line of rag dolls with a small hidden back pocket perfect for hiding coins, crayons, and other little special things. You could even have your little Treasure Buddy keep a lost tooth safe for the Tooth Fairy!
I have always had a weakness for good fabric. Any one who has seen my craft room over the years can vouch for that! All of my Treasury Buddy stuffed animals will be made with the finest textiles. Luckily for me, a wonderful perk about living in Portland is the close proximity to the Pendleton® Woolen Mills Store. They have an unbelievable supply of Pendleton® Wool fabric by the yard as well as a good amount of wool blanket scraps. It has quickly become one of my favorite places to go. Many of my Treasure Buddies feature Pendleton® wool from their store. It is a joy to sew with and cozy to cuddle.
